LaserJet supplies warranty information

Millions of HP customers rely on consistent quality results, so a commitment to excellence is our top priority. The HP warranty backs up our name. Millions of HP customers rely on consistent quality results, so a commitment to excellence is our top priority. The HP warranty backs up our name. In the unlikely event an HP printing supply proves defective, we will replace it for you.
HP LaserJet print cartridges and other supplies are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

HP LaserJet Cartridges: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship until the original HP toner is depleted.

HP Color LaserJet Bottles: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from date of purchase.

HP Color LaserJet Drum Kits: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship until the "low-life" message appears.

HP LaserJet Fuser and Transfer Kits: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year or until the "low-life" message appears, whichever comes first.

Please note that non-HP cartridges may affect your printer warranty; HP is not obligated to compensate for damage caused by non-HP cartridges.

Expiration Date on Packaging
HP has removed the expiration date previously featured on HP LaserJet cartridge packaging. The former expiration date had no correlation to the use or warranty of the HP LaserJet cartridge. HP LaserJet cartridges offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The code that is now shown on the box is intended for HP internal tracking only.

  Not Covered
Warranty does not cover cartridges which have been refilled, are emptied, are abused, are missing, or are tampered with in any way.

  Non-HP Laser Print Cartridges
If a non-HP print cartridge is found to be the direct cause of printer failure or damage, HP will not cover the repair related to that non-HP cartridge.

  Returning HP Product
In the event the cartridge proves defective, the customer should complete the service information form in the product box (or provide name, address, phone number, place of purchase, and a brief description of problem) and attach a print sample illustrating the defect. The form and cartridge should be returned to the place of purchase, where a replacement will be given.
