Counterfeiting is a form of fraud that deceives you into buying poor quality and unreliable products by stating otherwise, and offers none of the quality and reliability that comes with an Original HP Cartridge.
To protect you against such fraudulent practices, HP has taken steps to ensure that the products you have purchased are adequately protected with security seals to prevent counterfeiting.
The packaging for the Original HP cartridge includes new colour switching security seals to guard against counterfeiting.

To identify a genuine seal:
- Tilt box front to back to see "OK" and "√" move
in opposite directions
- Tilt box right to left to see colour change
|
|
To identify a genuine seal:
- Look for colour switching security seal
- Turn the box from side to side and see the
colour switch
- When the background is dark, half of the
lettering "ORIGINAL TONER" will be light and
vice versa
|
Some Original HP cartridge packaging still carry the previous colour shifting security seals. To check for a genuine seal, turn the box from side to side and see the colours switch between dark and light blue. When the background is dark, half of the lettering “ORIGINAL TONER” will be light and vice versa.
